Well, it looks like you’ve got your alter ego for the Spanish Towne parade squared away almost a month in advance. Do I need to find you a pair of shrimp boots?

I watched the game in BR. I’d been in the Quarter enough over the last week that BR was just my speed.

In honor of finishing ‘Love in the Ruins’ I sat down with a bottle of Early Times the other night and read Sandusky Review, vol. 2. Great stuff. More to come on ‘the state of the Southern novel’ shortly.

What? WHAT!?!?!?!? I’m sorry, I can’t hear you, my ears are drowning in the sound of victory.

Really, though, it was a game that was on the brink of going either way for a long time. The sell-out safety blitz that allowed Chevis Jackson one of the most beautiful one-on-one interceptions I’ve seen was where I think it turned.

Now I’m just thankful to get to watch football for the fun of it. Go Packers!
