"…and not for five minutes will I be distracted from the wonder…"

you could feel the sky

howdy all…for all of you in the jackson/brookhaven area who didn’t get my email, i just wanted to let you know that anyone who cares to join is invited to take in the lunar eclipse saturday night out at the farm house in copiah county with me and whoever else shows up…the actual eclipse should go down about 7 pm CST and last for 25 minutes or so…i have to work but will be there by 6 pm…drop me an email if you need directions or more info…

has been a busy couple of days…on tuesday night/wednesday morning i converted the bookstore website over to SQL server…it’s humming along quite nicely and it’s cool to be able to build pages locally while using live data (sorry, tech dork rears its nerdy head B-P)…i celebrated surviving the conversion with dinner at BRAVO, getting to use up some of my house account balance…susan hall joined me and we had a tasty dinner with a nice bottle of wine and a good conversation about being 27 years old and still letting the winds of life blow you where they may (and getting weird looks when you try to explain that to someone you went to high school with who is married with 2 kids, and a career)…

i have also completed the designs for the new lemuria t-shirts and i think they look damn fine…maybe fashion design is in my future (any of you that know my wardrobe realize that’s a joke)…also have the side of the new building’s logo designed and am waiting on final approval from the people who’ll actually paint it…speaking of the new building…stopped by there today with johnnie and robert and they’re really going at it…the inside is completely gutted and they have started on getting the roof tresses ready for placement…i’m doing a big write up for the lemuria website on the building next week complete with floor plan and other useful info…i’ll be sure to post it here…i’m looking forward to getting to manage our own weird little space (a physical store named after a website could only be a john evan’s idea) and am even more excited at the events that can be held there…with the stage and sound system we’re putting in it could serve as a meeting space, performance space, art opening space, party space…the list goes on…anyways, more to come, i’ll quit babbling…

please, if you are at all interested, get in touch with me about watching the eclipse…such astronomical peculiarities are always best enjoyed in the company of friends (feel free to bring people if you like)…and if you’ve got a camera, telescope, or binoculars be sure to bring them also…

ps: i want to thank everyone who has been looking at the art gallery…the hit counts are ridiculously high for all three of them…for those of you that have mentioned to me or the artists themselves how much you’ve enjoyed them, your kudos are much appreciated…please pass the link to the gallery on to anyone you wish to, especially those who may wish to post works (visual, written, and musical pieces are all welcome)…
