"…and not for five minutes will I be distracted from the wonder…"

a still life in motion…

man, so much i want to share but i can’t grasp any of it and make it sit still @ all…it frustrates to think of all the beautiful little moments that are so important for me to remember that just get lost in the voluminous collect that is memory…for the last couple of days i’ve tried to sit and construct a cohesive narrative of it all but as i glance back at the days behind me everything looks like a jet contrail, the line of rememberance growing fainter and more diffused as it stretches back until finally it’s but a whisper and then it’s gone all together…hopefully somewhere back in the depths of my mind something is keeping track of all this living and one day i’ll just happen upon it back there in a nice little package…

the brothers clark have been gracing bobby and i with their presence on the lemCom porch the last couple of evenings…usually leanne and/or melissa comes with them and we’ve had some fine conversation will sipping the beer…an extra treat was having lindsey and amy clay bounce in last saturday afternoon …everywhere i turn there are friends revelling in the weather and action that comes with the glorious mississippi spring…as mentioned previously valley called me up last weekend to say odom was in town…amy clay and i ran out to spend some time with them and it was very special…i think i will get to see odom when i go to NC for graham’s graduation in may…i think we’re gonna build a website for the band that he, ferd and emmy have gotten together…should be a fun site and allow the chance to antique some photos to make an olde-timey looking experience via new media…

also, i gotta give a big shout out to j koehler, who is a mississippi resident again…she dropped in for a cup of coffee yesterday morning and we had a fine visit…just can’t stay away, can you baby j?

last night was a good romp on the town…had dinner with heather, canada, and tina…we stopped off @ susan margaret and scott’s new digs in fondren so i could print a picture for the rainbow benefit art auction…on the way back to belhaven we came across william, raila, christian, twiggy, and jen chalking the fondren corner sidewalk so we stopped and contributed to the project…i ran canada, tina, and heather back to belhaven and came back to fondren to kick it with willieG for a bit…we ran over to see the progress on the capri theater renovations and it looked mighty nice…

alright, willieG is up and roaming around his apartment in boxers and his eeyore slippers…think we’re gonna drink the joe and start the day…fondren festival kicks off tonight…one big party in a three block area…hit it if you can…lovage…

ps – my friend shawn just sent me a link to an interesting experience he shared with a feathered friend the other night…it’s a funny read…
